Streamlight 14975 Sidewinder Military Hands-Free Flashlight, Coyote

The Streamlight 14975 Sidewinder Boot Light with 2 AA Alkaline Batteries is a versatile and durable field light suitable for close-in camping and administrative use. It is praised for its excellent battery run times, providing usable light without overpowering night vision. The red filter ensures concealment in low-light conditions and does not disrupt night vision. The light is designed for wear on MOLLE gear and can withstand abuse without the housing becoming reflective. It is also compatible with modern gear and can be mounted on headgear, helmets, and plate carriers. The light is handy for administrative tasks such as reading documents, prepping food, and assembling gear without affecting others' vision. However, it is noted that the light is not suitable for white light navigation. Some users found it difficult to attach to their vest and expressed disappointment with the quality of the product, especially with regards to the battery compartment seal. While some users found the product to be cheaply made and not very bright, others appreciated its size and functionality. The red lens function was well-received, although some wished for a brighter output. The clip on the light was reported to break quickly, but it was noted to work well even after exposure to water.
