AKK Radio Transmitters A1819 Editorial Review

The AKK A1819US Version 5.8G Long Range VTX FPV Transmitter is a great buy for the price, however, it tends to get hot and comes with thick heatsinks that require taller standoffs. The best receiver to use is not clear and there is no pinout diagram. The Tbs smartaudio is the type of smartaudio being used and a great TrueRC antenna can be used for maximum distance. The VTX does not have a pit mode which would be very useful since it gets hot, but it covers many power levels and channels. The mounting holes combined with metal screws may short to ground on a carbon fiber frame. Although it meets most customer expectations and has great range and penetration, the VTX tends to get hot and there is no pit mode.
