Action & Adventure Editorial Review
The Green Knight is a film adaptation of the 14th century chivalric romance Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Director David Lowery celebrates its literary origins, cinematic landscapes and creates memorable imagery. However, the movie is slow-paced, confusing and lacks clear direction. It has beautiful scenery, stunning costume design and a decent trailer. The storyline is boring and disjointed leading to an underwhelming end. The characters lack depth that one can connect with, and the moral of the film is unclear. This movie is not recommended for the casual movie watcher, but it could be worth watching if interested in mythology.
