Malone Auto Racks Top Tier Utility Trailer Cross Bar System

The Malone Auto Racks Top Tier Utility Trailer Cross Bar System is a sturdy and affordable option for building a boat rack on top of a utility trailer. It is designed to fit a 5' x 8' trailer and provides a secure and convenient way to transport canoes or kayaks. Customers have reported driving long distances without any issues, as long as the straps are tightened occasionally and something is used to cushion the boats on top, such as styrofoam pool noodles or pipe insulation. The installation process may require drilling holes into the trailer frame, but overall, the rack looks great and works great. However, there have been some negative comments regarding the product's packaging and parts. Some customers have received ripped or damaged boxes, while others have complained about missing hardware. These issues have led to multiple delivery attempts and additional costs for replacement parts. There have also been complaints about the strong smell of the parts upon arrival. Furthermore, the directions provided with the rack are criticized for being poorly written and poorly copied. Customers have also found the materials to be of substandard quality and have had to replace hardware with better-fitting parts from hardware stores. Overall, the Malone Auto Racks Top Tier Utility Trailer Cross Bar System is praised for its design and functionality, with customers appreciating the option of including brackets for trailers with round top rails. However, the product's packaging, parts, and instructions leave much to be desired.
