It can be placed on a wood deck and the propane hose is less than an inch wide. The maximum heat output is 45000 BTUs, which is efficient to use even in colder weather. The fire pit is sold without a propane tank, but the manufacturer offers separately sold concrete covers for tanks. The product has received positive reviews from customers except for one who found the quality poor and the product overpriced.
