Orbit 58872N Complete Yard Watering Kit

The Orbit 58872N Complete Yard Watering Kit has garnered a mixed but generally favorable reception among users, especially those seeking a more automated solution for watering their lawns. Customers appreciate the versatility and user-friendly design of the newer model compared to its predecessor, which many found less intuitive. The system is noted for its robust Construction and reasonable price point, especially when Considering the alternative costs of in-ground irrigation systems. Users have praised the effective water pressure it delivers through the valves, and many have reported no issues with leaks when the system is properly assembled and the hose connectors are not over-tightened. A practical tip from one customer was to keep the electronic controller protected from moisture, which presumably helps prolong its lifespan. However, potential buyers should note that while the "Complete Watering Kit" suggests it includes everything necessary for full functionality, only two zones are operable out of the box. Additional valves must be purchased separately to utilize all four outlets, which some customers found misleading. Installation, while manageable, can come with minor annoyances related to fitting hoses and valves, particularly with the limited space around the spigot area. Some also mentioned concerns regarding the noise produced when the valves actuate, which can be startling for pets and potentially disruptive in quiet environments. Despite these drawbacks, many users feel that the conveniences offered by the system—from reducing the need for manual labor to the flexibility in watering different zones—make it a valuable tool for efficient yard maintenance. **
