Platinum Tools Network & Cable Testers Editorial Review

The Platinum Tools TP500C LanSeeker Cable Tester has garnered a mix of reviews, reflecting a blend of satisfaction with its functionality and frustration with its quality and customer support. Many users appreciate its straightforward design, which features status lights on both ends, significantly aiding in troubleshooting and allowing for quick identification of issues with cables. The product is praised for its ability to test cables effectively over distances of up to 250 feet, making it a valuable asset for networking tasks. However, while initial experiences with the device tend to be positive, reports of durability issues—such as the LED lights failing after a short period—have emerged. These concerns are compounded by customer service experiences; users have expressed disappointment regarding how Platinum Tools handles warranty claims. Some found the company's approach to be uncooperative, particularly when addressing issues with malfunctioning units, leading customers to prefer dealing with platforms like Amazon for support instead. Overall, the TP500C LanSeeker serves its primary functions well, rendering it an effective tool for network management. Still, potential buyers should be aware of the possibility of quality inConsistencies and Consider how the warranty and customer service might impact their purchase decision. **
