ASICS Road Running 1011B891 200 Editorial Review
The ASICS Glideride have garnered a predominantly positive reception from customers, particularly those seeking comfort during both athletic and casual use. Many users, including serious runners and healthcare professionals, praise the shoe for its exceptional cushioning and lightweight feel, often likening it to "walking on air." The Guidesole technology is highlighted for providing a smooth transition between phases of running and walking, which is especially beneficial for those with foot injuries or conditions such as Hallux Rigidis and Morton’s toe neuroma. The generous toe box is noted for accommodating wider feet and allowing for natural toe movement, providing much-needed support during extended periods of standing or activity. Many reviewers emphasized the importance of using third-party arch support, as the built-in options were deemed insufficient for those needing extra stability. Despite its many positive features, the shoe does have some drawbacks. A few users reported issues with durability, specifically mentioning that the mesh material can rip after a few months of use. Additionally, while the shoe is described as excellent for comfort and support, some users noted that the cushioning might be too soft for fast-paced running and may not offer the stability needed for more dynamic sports like tennis or basketball. Overall, the ASICS Glideride serves as a standout choice for comfort-oriented runners and walkers looking for relief from foot and joint pain, provided they are mindful of the shoe's potential durability limitations. **
