Muskoka Lifestyle Products Fly Tying Materials Editorial Review
If you are a fly enthusiast, this Fly Tying Material Feather and Dubbing Bulk Starter kit might be perfect for you. It includes a great variety of materials that are easy to use including UV dyed Black, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Olive Green and Gray Marabou feathers and much more. However, the kit does not come with hooks. The kit includes a detailed list of the materials, but there are no instructions provided for tying flies. Also, some feathers like the hackles are big and not very useful. However, the materials are of great quality and suitable for fly tying. Some customers have commented that the dubbing is not great, but still useable. The biots come with many broken tips, but the manufacturer gives the option of a replacement if you provide your order ID and a picture of the damage. Customers appreciate the vast variety of materials, which means they can make a variety of flies, but some wish the kit had more hackle feathers for tying wooly buggars. This Fly Tying Material Feather and Dubbing Bulk Starter kit might not be the best starter kit out there, however, it is useful, and the materials are of good quality. **
