Bosch Ignition Parts Editorial Review
The Bosch 01009 Contact Point is often mistakenly believed to be compatible with the 009 distributor, causing confusion for customers. However, these points are actually intended for an early stock VW distributor. The correct Bosch part number for the 009 distributor is 01011. Some customers have expressed frustration with the misleading information and incorrect parts. However, others have found that the points are suitable for their specific distributor and are satisfied with the product's performance. It is important to note that the points come in two parts, which is the correct configuration for certain distributors. Overall, the quality of the points is praised, although there have been isolated incidents of missing components.
